Do you want to get RSVP's for a golf event without specifying tee times? For example, some organizers would want to invite 8 or 12 people and then divide up into groups on the putting green or driving range. You can also take RSVP's and then divide your golfers into tee times at a later date using TeeTimeHelper.
Fortunately, all of these scenarios are now supported by TeeTimeHelper. Golfers can RSVP for an event so you know who is coming and then divide up groups using tee time helper or divide them up yourself before the round.
When you organize an event you now have three options:
You can switch between the different event types on the Organize Golf Outings page.

TeeTimeHelper adds "Event Note" option
We've had some feedback from our users (thank you!) to make available a way to add special notes to events. A few months ago we added a note at the tee time level, but it seemed like a good idea to make a notations at the golf event level.
For example, you may wish to describe the format of play or any special announcement regarding the event. Previously you would have needed to put that information with the golf course name which was confusing to the players.
So we added a golf event "note" which can be filled out when creating the event or edited afterwards. In the case were it is added or modified after creating the event we send out e-mail to your group to that effect.
Happy golfing,

Easily Organize a Shotgun Event with RSVP
Great news, TeeTimeHelper has added shotgun functionality. This will allow you to easily create a shotgun event and get RSVP's. Each person may RSVP yes for a group, and you can randomize your golf event when you are ready to automatically mix up the golfers. After you randomize, you may want to lock your golf event to prevent others from making any changes.
The shotgun form easily creates multiple groups with one click, saving you the time of adding tee times. Simply pick a time, and select the number of groups. TeeTimeHelper will automatically add those groups to the event when you submit the form.
Create your shotgun event today!

Golf organizers can "lock" events to prevent changes
All the golfers will have access to the golf event page to see the latest tee times and groupings. However, if the event is locked they will not be able to change their tee times or change their RSVP.
The administrator is not subject to any restrictions even if the event is locked. The administrator can still make changes to individual golfers, or unlock the event altogether to allow the golf group to make changes again.
When the administrator locks or unlocks an event an e-mail is sent to all the golfers notifying them of the change.

Clone Feature: Quickly pre-fill your email list and other fields
Want to create a new golf event based on an existing event without filling everything out from scratch?
TeeTimeHelper has a powerful "Clone Event" tool which helps you quickly set up a new event. The e-mail list and other options are pre-filled so all you have to do is change the date to create a similar event.
Of course, you can change any of the options that was pre-filled, such as the e-mail addresses of golfers, number of players per tee time, as well as other options.
This feature simply copies your existing event in order to create a similar event with minimal effort. The "Clone" button is located at the bottom of the existing event status page. Just click on it and go!

Software fix for bouncing e-mails
We were alerted by a couple users that some e-mails with were not being delivered. Our system automatically checks for bouncing e-mails and gives this status in red on the main event page so this was easily detected.
It turns out that the 'From' line on the e-mail is better to contain TeeTimeHelper.com instead of the golf organizers e-mail. Also, we have set the 'Reply-To' field to the organizer, so any responses will go to the proper place.
If you notice any email that didn't go through and should be delivered please let us know.

Randomize your event - create random groups of golfers
After receiving some feedback from a user we have implemented a feature which randomizes golf groups. Only the administrator has access to this feature.
For example, if you have 3 tee times and 10 players you can randomize the golfers so that the first tee time is filled with 4 random players, the second tee time has 4 random players, and the third will have 2.
This only assigns golfers who have RSVP'd "YES" to the golf event. This is a great way to mixup the groups, and the golfers are automatically notified via e-mail of the change.
Please let us know what you think of this feature, and send us more suggestions!

TeeTimeHelper makes viewing your event easier
The goal of TeeTimeHelper.com is to organize your golf group in the most efficient way possible.
We took a hard look at how the "view event" status page is formatted, and came up with some changes that will make it easier to view on mobile devices and reduce some clutter.
The view event status page is by far the most viewed page on the site, so it was well worth the effort to make any changes we could to simplify this page and make it more organized.
Additonally, this page is also viewed quite frequently from a mobile device, so we made this page more vertical so that it is easily scrollable. Thank you for using TeeTimeHelper.com.
If you have any suggestions please contact us. We are always looking for new ideas!

TeeTimeHelper adds "note" feature for tee times
Due to feedback from a TeeTimeHelper user we have added the ability to attach a note for an individual tee time.
This could be useful if one tee time is different from the others, for example, if one tee time is for 9 holes only, or to say it's a provisional tee time.
To add a note to a tee time you must be the administrator. When viewing your event, click on the "edit" button next to the tee time you would like to attach the note. From there, fill out or updated the note and it will be e-mailed to the users in the group. The note is also visible on the event status page, so it will be seen by all the golfers.
If you have any questions, please contact us.
