Understanding the 'Hide All Invitees' Setting: Why Members Can’t Fill Out Their Tee Times with Other Players

Understanding the “Hide All Invitees” Setting: Why Members Can’t Add Players to Tee Times

TeeTimeHelper gives admins powerful tools to manage privacy and visibility for golf event RSVPs. One of these tools is the “Hide All Invitees” and “Show Only Attendees”, which controls how much of the guest list is visible to members.

While this feature can be useful for private events or simplified coordination, it does affect one key function: the ability for members to add players to their tee time.

How It Normally Works

In most events, when a member RSVPs and selects a tee time, they’re able to add more players to their group. This is done by choosing from a dropdown list of invited members—making it easy to coordinate with friends, regular partners, or new faces in the group.

This system relies on visibility of the full list of invitees.

What Happens When “Hide All Invitees” or "Show Only Attendees" Is Enabled

When an admin selects either option:

  • The “Add Player” function is disabled because members don’t have the list of invitees to select from.

Summary of the Impact

  • ✅ Members can RSVP and select a tee time.

  • 🚫 Members cannot add players to their tee time.

  • 🔧 Admins retain full control and can manage tee times manually if needed.

Admin Tip

If your event encourages self-organized groups or filling out foursomes, we recommend leaving this setting off to allow members to see each other and use the player dropdown menu. But for events where privacy is key or where the admin prefers to handle tee times, enabling “Hide All Invitees” is a solid choice.
